The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum opened their Salute to Champion Jeff Gordon exhibit Friday. There are six different Gordon cars on display from now until the end of 2012, including sprint cars and the famous rainbow-colored DuPont stock car in which Gordon won the first ever Brickyard 400. On the other end of the show room is a sprint car that Gordon raced at Knoxville Raceway.

National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Director Bob Baker says that the exhibit is meant to draw people into the museum that may not otherwise make the trip. He says last year’s Tony Stewart exhibit was extremely successful in doing just that. There is also memorabilia on display, such as a Brickyard 400 trophy and a trophy from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Baker adds that the exclusive Salute to Champion Jeff Gordon t-shirts are also in stock. They are similar to last year’s Tony Stewart shirts and can be found only at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum.
