The Knoxville Public Library had a very successful reading program this summer. That’s according to Youth Services Coordinator Holly Shelford. Shelford says almost 600 people were registered, and around 350 of those registered completed the program that was themed “Dream Big… Read.” She says that the new two-man juggling act was very popular among those who saw the program. Many other events frequently drew crowds upwards of 100 people. This included things like a magic show, drumming demonstration, and more. Shelford says as children start preparing to go back to school, the Library will continue to offer new programs for people of all ages. She adds that they’ll also continue with story times this fall for children that may not be old enough to attend school yet.
