Though it feels like the past season just ended, the preparations for next year’s campaign have already begun for the Pella High softball team.  Lady Dutch head coach Krista DeMeulenaere says a number of her players will take advantage of opportunities to play additional softball throughout the remainder of the summer and into the fall.  

DeMeulenaere adds that while she has no part in what happens over the next few weeks and months; participation in club softball, fall leagues and other offseason workouts continues to become more common place and is often the difference between players and teams that make the step to the upper echelon of Iowa high school softball.
