Sabers, Saints Fill Up All-Bluegrass Conference Softball Teams

A total of thirteen Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars players are All-Bluegrass Conference softball selections for the past season.

First Team honors go to Sabers’ catcher Brooke Dunkin, first baseman Bailey Stone and outfielder Brittney Roby; while the Saints had outfielder Sydney Wilson and pitcher Lexi Crozier tabbed for the first team.

Bluegrass Conference Second Teamers feature Twin Cedars pitcher Mackenzie Sedlock, second baseman Maddison Goematt, third baseman Payton Fee and outfielder Kassidy Swayne; with Melcher-Dallas first baseman Mackenzie Suntken and outfielder Amanda Marlin also named to the Second Team.

Each squad also had an honorable mention selection, with the Saints’ Morgan Mitchell and the Sabers’ Shelby Hall each chosen.

Twin Cedars clinched a share of the Bluegrass Conference softball title this season with a 12-2 league record and were 24-15 overall; reaching the Class 1A Regional Finals. Melcher-Dallas was close behind in the conference race, where they finished with a 10-4 record; while going 16-17 overall.
