The Twin Cedars Baseball Squad fought hard, but in the end Martensdale St. Mary’s came up with the big plays at the plate and in the field to pull out an 8-2 win over the Sabers in the Class 1A Sub State last night. Twin Cedars held the lead at 2-1 in the fourth inning when Brent Parker and Eric Clark got back-to-back R-B-I singles. But the Blue Devils would shut the door by getting three runs in the fifth and blowing it open in the seventh with four more runs. Coy Moore took the loss going four innings giving up three runs on six hits, walking two and striking out five. Otis Roby pitched three innings of relief. One key in the game the Sabers were sat down in order in all of the innings except the fourth and seventh. The Sabers end their season at 25-10.
