A recently-established memorial golf tournament in honor of Central College football coach Ron Schipper will be held late next month.

Going into its fourth year, the Coach Ron Schipper Memorial Golf Tournament is organized by the legendary coach’s former players with the purpose of recognizing the impact that Schipper had on the lives of so many young men, and also as a fundraiser for the Ron Schipper Memorial Fund, which provides an annual scholarship to a Central College students who exemplifies the values of the late coach.

The 4th Annual Coach Schipper Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 28th, at the Bos Landen Golf Course in Pella. To register, or find out more about the tournament, go online to he “Alumni” page at Central.edu and click on “upcoming events”.

In just three years, the Coach Schipper Memorial Golf Tournament has already received nearly $60,000 in contributions toward the memorial fund.
