Kyle Larson is called “Young Money” and for good reason. First…he’s young at 20 years old…and secondly…he wins a lot of races. Whether it is sprints, midgets, wings, non-wings, he seems to get into a car and win. He did just that for the second time this week following his win at the Ultimate Challenge on Tuesday night, he won quite possibly the biggest race of his career by taking night one of the 52nd Annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals. Larson and the entire field had to endure a two-hour rain delay. He then had to endure three late race yellow flags in the final race to secure the win. After the race, Larson said getting through his heat was key and several drivers not making it into the A-Main was also important to winning. Davey Heskin took second after leading early and then having a thrilling duel with third place finisher Donny Schatz for the last two laps. Fourth went to Craig Dollansky who charged from the B-Main to claim a top five, and fifth was Lucas Wolfe. The rest of the field will run tonight, KNIA/KRLS will have complete coverage starting with Live Track Side at six and Race Night’s Live at 7:15.
