An opening-set victory wasn’t enough to help the PCM volleyball team snag a win Thursday night over Greene County, as they fell in four hard-fought sets 25-23, 21-25, 20-25, 20-25.
Junior Abbi Gilson had a team-high 11 kills, orchestrated – in part – by Alex Samson’s 19 assists. The Mustangs also served extremely well, with five players notching serving efficiencies of 92 percent or better. Defensively, Kaitlyn Wilkie led the way with 9 digs.
The loss to Greene County drops the PCM Volleyball team to 1-6 overall this season. They have a week between matches now, as they’ll be in Monroe again next Thursday against Gilbert.
