Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey will be in the area tomorrow as he helps campaign for Iowa House candidate Greg Heartsill. Heartsill is hosting a bags tournament and fundraiser at Pierce’s Pumpkin Patch, located between Knoxville and Chariton on Highway 14. The Iowa Farm Bureau recently designated Heartsill as a “Friend of Agriculture,” endorsing him as their candidate. Evening activities start at 5:30 Monday with a potluck supper.
