The Knoxville Cross Country Squads made significant improvement in their times yesterday at the Newton Invitational. Wick Cunningham ran a torrid pace in 16:33 to win the individual title for the boys by nearly a full minute. Also setting either personal or season bests were: Brad Shearer…Preston Lee…Mitchell Hollingshead and Cris Schwanebeck, who all ran under 19 minutes for the first time this season. On the girls side, Courtney Hughs placing 18th overall, Kaeline Schuenke and Lydia Anderson all ran under 18 minutes for the first time in their careers. The Knoxville Girls finished fifth while the boys finished third behind Grinnell and Newton, respectively.
