A chance to start the season 5-0 lies in front of the Pella Christian football team, as Sigourney-Keota comes into Pella to face the Eagles in non-district play. The Cobras are 2-2 overall and coming off of a high-scoring 50-44 win over Wapello last week. Pella Christian faces off against Sigourney-Keota’s trademark offense, something head football coach Rich Kacmarynski says will be a big key in winning tonight’s match-up.

“Our defensive line’s got their work cut out for them. Some people would argue the single-wing is the most deceptive offense in all of football,” said Kacmarynski. “So we have our work cut out for us as far as being a disciplined defense – everybody’s got their gap, everybody carry out their assignment – and if we do that I think we’ll have success against the single-wing. If we don’t, I think they [Sigourney-Keota] could make us look bad at times.”

Jamie Brockman and Larry Hessing will be live at Pella Christian for the call, which can be heard live at Coverage begins at 7:00 p.m. tonight, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. The game will also be heard in a delayed broadcast, immediately following the Pella High football game on 92.1 KRLS.
