The Pella Christian volleyball team has had a long break from competition to hone their skills and get comfortable with their roles on the court, as they prepare for tonight’s home match against Marshalltown. The Lady Eagles’ last competition was on August 25th, and outside hitter Jora Vander Hart says one goal coming into tonight’s match with the Bobcats is for development in the team’s offense.

“I just think we really need to get our offense set,” said Vander Hart. “Our defense has been pretty good lately, but we’ve just got to get some swings down and get a little more consistency.”

The Pella Christian volleyball team is 1-4 so far on the young season, which has seen them only face one squad that wasn’t a Class 3A or larger program. Opening serve of the varsity competition against Marshalltown at Pella Christian High School is set for 7:15 p.m. tonight.
