Two runaway victories and a bye week sandwiched in between would be seemingly disruptive to the rhythm of most high school football programs, but the Melcher-Dallas Saints have maintained their concentration over the past three weeks.

After throttling Seymour 78-28 on August 31st, Melcher-Dallas had a week off in their schedule after Harmony dropped its football program. That gave head coach Ryan Conrad and his staff more than enough time to prepare for a struggling Moravia program that the Saints walloped 76-0 on Homecoming this past Friday
night. Yet despite the interruption in the schedule and contests against lesser foes, Conrad says his captains and leaders have kept their focus on simply getting better.

“They do a good job of getting themselves going, and they realize this is a limited opportunity of time they get to play football,” said Conrad. “They really take advantage of it, and really came out [focused] from the start – making it a lot easier on the head coach.”

Up next for the Melcher-Dallas football team is Tri-County; a team that is 2-2 and coming off of a lopsided loss to another of the 4-0 teams in Eight-Man District 5 – H-L-V.
