After being outscored in the first quarter 75 – 17 this season, the Central Dutch football team got off to their own quick start with three first quarter touchdowns in a 31 – 14 victory over Luther College Saturday. It was the Dutch defense that kick started the first quarter surge, with an interception on the first series of the game that set-up a two-yard run by quarterback Aaron Eiseler. Central would tack on two more scores on two impressive drives to end the opening quarter with a 21 – 0 lead. Central’s victory moves them to 3 – 4 overall and 2 – 2 in the Iowa Conference, and they’ll next come back home this Saturday to face Loras College.
