In a feat 53 years in the making, the Central College men’s cross country team easily won their first Iowa Conference championship on Saturday with a total team score of 33 points. The Dutch runners finished 1-2-3, and leading away for Central was sophomore Eli Horton. Finishing right behind Horton was freshman Cole Decker and sophomore Drew Jackson. Central finished 17 points ahead of defending champion Loras College, while the Dutch women finished fourth in their meet. Four Central men earned all-league honors for their efforts.
