The Central College men’s cross country team is now number one in week four of the regional rankings put out by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Dutch leapfrogged St. Olaf in Minnesota to claim the number one spot in the Central Region, after being ranked second last week. Part of the reason of the rankings boost is their strong showing at the renowned University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational on September 29th. Central, as a team, placed fourth in the 27 team field, ahead of the previously-number-one ranked St. Olaf Oles. The Dutch cross country men are next in action at West Salem, Wisconsin October 13th for the Wisconsin-La Crosse Jim Drew/Tori Neubauer Invitational.
