Central College needed just six minutes to capture a 1-0 Iowa Conference women’s soccer win against Simpson College Wednesday evening. Forward Brittany Hinton netted the game-winner three yards out off a cross from midfielder Molly Potts. Goalkeeper Steph Hasken recorded her fifth shutout with six saves in 90 minutes. The Dutch improved to 9-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the league. Simpson dropped to 7-6 with a 1-3 conference mark. Central next will host Buena Vista University tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. for senior night.
