One thing for Pella that has held true for them during their regular season run was their abilities on defense, and in tonight’s game against the visiting Keokuk Chiefs, the Little Dutch will really need their “D” to be playing their “A” game. The Chiefs have scored 125 points in their last two games, and on the season, have scored at least 30 points a total of five times. The Little Dutch have held their opponents to 37 points in the last six games, an average of just over six points per game. Pella head football coach, Jay McKinstrey, said that he’s looking for his offense to sustain some drives and for his defense to take care of business. “Play after play after play, we’ve got to get after them,” McKinstrey said. “We need to stay on the field with our offense and finish drives this week and put some points on the board. Because, you know, Keokuk can certainly put some up if they get things going.” Tonight’s game between the Little Dutch and the Chiefs can be streamed live at kniakrls.com with Jamie Brockman and Randy Sikkema calling the action. There will also be a delayed broadcast on 92.1 KRLS immediately following the Pella Christian game. The pregame starts at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
