The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Knoxville Police Department, and the Pella Police Department were all involved in a drug and human trafficking investigation that led to 53 arrests this month in Polk County. The joint operation took place in Polk County on October 17 and 18 as part of a Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force operation. It involved many other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Chief Deputy Troy Fisher tells KNIA/KRLS News that all of the Marion County law enforcement officers who participated in the investigation worked in Des Moines and the Polk County area during the investigation.
