The drought has again worsened in Iowa according to this week’s USDA Drought Monitor. Marion County is now in an extreme drought, when last week the extreme drought designation only affected a small portion of the county. Around 75% of the state as a whole is in extreme drought, with even worse conditions in Northwest Iowa.
