No Major Damage After Forced Entry at G.O.A.L.

Officials say a pair of young children were responsible for some damage at the G.O.A.L. High School in Knoxville yesterday. At just about 6:30, the Knoxville Fire Department and Knoxville Police Department were called to the scene at the High School, formally East Elementary, after the fire alarms were set off and what appeared to be smoke was coming out of the north side of the building. Officers say that when they arrived, it appeared that a brick had been thrown through a window in the front of the building and a fire extinguisher had been set off inside of the building. At least one young juvenile admitted to being involved. There was no major damage to the building. Marion County Emergency Management also responded to the scene.
