The PCM Mustangs lost 20-17 in a rain-delayed heart breaker to visiting Davis County Friday night. The loss removes PCM from contention for the Class 2A District 6 title, but the Mustangs have wrapped up a postseason berth heading into the regular season finale next Friday at Bondurant-Farrar. A 30 yard field goal by Mike Neff preceded a 30+ minute rain and lightning delay with 9:18 remaining in the game and PCM leading 17-14. Davis County revamped their rushing attack following the break and drained the clock and scoring a touchdown on their final possession leaving Coach Bonnett’s club with very few options. Making just his 2nd start of the season at QB, Zach Uhlenhopp shined for the home team going 9 for 14 with 128 yards passing and one touchdown through the air, along with a second score coming on a 15 yard scamper. The loss drops PCM to 4-5 overall and 3-2 in district play as the Mustangs travel to Bondurant-Farrar for their regular season finale this Friday night.
