The Eagles are 1 – 2 so far this year in the Little Hawkeye Conference, are 10 – 13 overall, and today they will be hosting interconference foe Norwalk. The Warriors are 2 – 1 in the LHC, with an 8 – 10 record on the season. On paper, both teams look very evenly matched; with similar season statistics in kill and serve efficiency, with a slight edge to Pella Christian in service aces. Eagles head coach, Cindy Nikkel says her team needs to stop one of the Warriors’ main sources of attack to pull even in conference play. “Well they have a good outside hitter that we need to shut down,” Nikkel said. “They’ve been a .500 ball club this year, they’ll be scrappy though.” Again that was Pella Christian head volleyball coach, Cindy Nikkel. Tonight’s match-up is at Pella Christian, with the JV games getting underway at 5:30.
