Beggars’ Nights are coming up in Marion County, and Lt. Paul Haase at the Pella Police Department has some words of caution for kids and drivers. He says if kids are going to be out trick or treating on their own, they should stick to neighborhoods they know, and should never go into a strangers house. For drivers, he says to be extra vigilant since kids in dark costumes may dart across the road. He tells parents its not a bad idea to attach reflective materials to their child’s dark costume.
