Williamsburg was everything Pella thought they would be, and the Raiders showed it, getting off to an early 20 – 0 lead, and beating the Little Dutch in a sound 54 – 27 victory. Pella was faced with a 20 – 0 deficit not even halfway through the first quarter, and things weren’t looking good for the Little Dutch, faced with a third-and-long from the Williamsburg 38-yard line, when Josh De Waard threw a strike, making it 20 – 7, but that is as close as Pella would get all game. Raiders quarterback, Jacob Donohoe, would follow with three consecutive touchdown passes to make the score 40 – 7 at the half. Following two fumble recoveries converted to scores for the Raiders, the running clock was put into effect early in the second half and erased any hopes of a Little Dutch comeback. Steenhoek, Brogden, and Vollmar would all find the end zone for Pella towards the end of the game to make the score a tad more respectable. Williamsburg will next face Winterset in the Class 3A Quarterfinals, while the loss ends Pella’s season at 7 – 4.
