After having a lengthy Thanksgiving break off, the Central Dutch women’s basketball team returns to action tonight for some home-cooking as they host visiting North Central Illinois. The Central women are 3 – 0 on the season and off to their best start since the early 90s. Nicole Strasko and Alyssa Schwartz are each average 11 points per game for the Dutch, while Bry Pierce is quickly earning the title of “Sixth Man” for Central by coming off the bench and averaging almost ten points per game. For the North Central Cardinals, they’re 2 – 2 on the year, and are coming off a school record for points in a game, with a 96 – 91 defeat of Benedictine University on Saturday. The women’s game tips off at 7:00 p.m.
