The Knoxville Public Library’s Building Committee has announced that they’ll be hosting a “Daddy-Daughter Dance” on Saturday, December 1st. Pennie Sommar is a member of the Library’s Building Committee. She says that day will include a number of activities to help fathers and daughters make memories together. It’ll include some dance lessons, games, a dessert bar, and more. Treasured Portraits will be there to capture the night on camera, and Candi’s Flowers will have special corsages available for purchase as well.

Sommar says it’ll be semi-formal – daddies and daughters are encouraged to wear Christmas best. The dance is for girls ages 5-12, and they can be accompanied by any significant male adult person in their life. Tickets cost $25 ($10 for each additional child). The tickets must be purchased prior to the dance. You can buy them at Eye Health Solutions and Iowa State Savings Bank.
