The Central Dutch have relied heavily on their speed and transition attack the last three seasons, which has helped them compile a 54 – 25 record, and with a new head coach in Craig Douma, they’re looking at doing more of the same. In addition to continuing the up-tempo pace on the court on offense, Coach Douma is also hoping to improve the level of physicality on defense. The rookie coach said that the goal for his Central men’s basketball team this year is to win the conference and the conference tournament. The Dutch lost four starters following an 18 – 8 season in 2011-12, and have only one returning starter this year in KJ Cool.
