The Marion County Extension Office will be hosting a feed management and planning meeting for beef producers tonight. State Extension specialists will be on-hand to discuss the drought and its impact. The meeting will bring up various strategies those in the beef industry may consider as they move forward. Topics include reducing corn use while maintaining performance, a beef demand and price outlook, a precipitation outlook, and more. Iowa State Savings Bank and the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association are co-sponsoring the event. It starts at 6:30 tonight at the Extension Office. No pre-registration is required.
