With a 68 – 53 victory over West Marshall this past Monday, the Pella Christian Eagles’ boys basketball team is now preparing for their next game on Saturday at home against visiting Washington. Head coach, Larry Hessing, said there were a lot of positives to take away from the win over a tough West Marshall squad.
“I liked how hard our guys played,” Hessing said. “I thought we were able to rotate a lot of people in and got a lot of people some experience. We had some success with our defense, and the pace of the game was where we wanted it. I think the guys really enjoyed being a team out there. It was just a good start to go on the road and get a win against a quality opponent in West Marshall.”
The boys will be returning home for three straight games starting with Washington on Saturday, then will face Little Hawkeye Conference opponent, Oskaloosa on Tuesday, and then host PCM on Thursday. The Washington game tips off on the varsity side at 6:30 p.m.
