Accurate shooting and limited turnovers were keys to Central’s 94 – 82 victory over Eureka on Saturday. The Dutch men were able to capitalize on 14 Red Devils turnovers, while only committing six of their own over the course of the game. Branden Stubbs had another good offensive game, leading all scorers with 26 points. Nick Marinkovich also added 22 points for the Dutch, who now sit at 4 – 0 on the season. Central trailed by as many as ten halfway through the first half to the Red Devils, but would go on a 20 – 5 run to take the lead for good and end the first half with a 44 – 38 advantage. The Dutch will now come home for a tough pair of games starting with William Penn this Wednesday and then host Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday, a game that will be broadcast on 92.1 FM KRLS.
