Central College is bringing in an Iowa Poet Laureate as part of their Writers Reading series. Mary Swander is the author of “The Girls on the Roof”, a story about a mother and daughter trapped on the roof of a cafe together during the 1993 flooding of the Mississippi. She will be speaking and reading from her works at the Geisler Library on Thursday at 7:30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
