Cold shooting and not-so-stellar defense were the keys in Central’s 73 – 61 loss to Crown Monday night in Minnesota. The Dutch only shot 32.9 percent from the field and trailed by 17 points after 20 minutes. Central would get within six by going on a 14 – nil run late in the game, but couldn’t get any closer as the Dutch’s basket seemed to have a cover over it, and the Storm sealed the deal with free throws down the stretch. Nick Marinkovich had 17 points to lead Central in scoring, while Matt Greenfield grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds. After starting the season with a 4 – 0 record, Central now sits with a 4 – 3 mark, and will next come home for a men’s/women’s doubleheader against AIB on Wednesday.
