The Central Dutch women will enter the 2013 part of their schedule with a 7 – 3 record after defeating St. Scholastica of Minnesota Friday afternoon, 70 – 63. Three Dutch starters finished in double digits scoring wise, led by Alyssa Schwartz with 21 points, while Nicole Strasko contributed another double-double effort with 16 points and 11 rebounds. The second half was plagued with whistles, with the Saints picking up team foul number six of the second half with just under 11 minutes to play. It was another successful night on the boards for the Dutch women, out-rebounding their opponents 44 – 35. The win gives Central some momentum heading into the beginning of next year, and will next play at Monmouth this Wednesday before starting Iowa Conference play a week from today.
