After getting off to a hot start this season on the mats, the Central Dutch wrestling team has its sights set on one final test before 2013 rolls in, and that’s a trip all the way down to Florida. The Dutch have posted a 3 – 1 dual record, with the one loss being a one-point defeat at the hands of the No. 3 team in Division III wrestling. In preparation for their flight to Florida, Central’s head wrestling coach and interim Athletic Director, Eric Van Kley, said that his team doesn’t focus on its opponents, but rather the amount of “work” they put out when they get on the mats. Central’s venture to the Gulf Coast Duals is this Sunday, where they will be facing four different colleges, before they get almost a month long break until their next meet in January when they resume their Iowa Conference schedule.
