The Pella Christian Eagles’ basketball teams will be facing two separate foes tonight as the girls will be travelling to Roland-Story and the boys will stay at home to face Washington. The Eagles’ ladies are playing in their first game in 11 days after defeating Albia on November 20. Not only will the young Eagles’ team be seeing their first varsity action in over a week-and-a-half, but they’ll also be facing a Roland-Story team that likes to press, and according to head coach, Kevin Van Maanen, he’s looking forward to it. Over on the boys’ side of things, they’ll be hosting a Washington squad that also likes to create some pressure in the back court, according to Eagles’ boys head coach, Larry Hessing. Both Eagles’ basketball teams are 1 – 0 to start the year. The girls’ game will get under way at Roland-Story at 2:30 p.m., while the boys will tipoff at 6:30.
