The Knoxville girls basketball squad did not have their game against Newton last night. The Panthers held off Chariton on Monday for a 34-31 win to improve to 3-4 on the season. However, in that game, Coach Jim Uitermarkt said most of the girls were sick and probably should have not played. He says looking back, the postponement Friday may have come at a good time to get the players back to health. Knoxville will have a couple of weeks to get healthy before coming back to action on January fourth. That Panthers will take on Norwalk that day.
