A single vehicle accident just north of the Jasper County line last week proved fatal. On 112th Place a northbound white van with Jasper County plates left the roadway, traveled for several hundred feet and over a field entry embankment  into the ditch on the other side of the embankment. William Fisher, 56 of Newton, was transported by the Pella Ambulance to Pella Regional Health Center. He later died of his injuries.
