After a rough start to their season, the Pleasantville girls’ basketball team headed back to practice Thursday night with their heads held high. The lady Trojans have played some tough non-conference opponents which, according to coach Aaron Fichter, will pay dividends as they wind down the season and prepare for 2013-14. Their most recent loss was a tough game against Southeast Warren; tough, mainly because it was only the second game of the year that Pleasantville had a chance to win in the fourth quarter, but saw the game slip away late. Fichter says that the frustration from that game has passed, and the girls are seeing marked improvement in their play at this point in the year. The Pleasantville ladies are 0 – 9 at the moment, and will continue their road trip to begin 2013, starting with Nodaway Valley this coming Friday.
