The Pleasantville Trojans basketball teams are continuing their Pride of Iowa Conference play tonight when they welcome visiting Martensdale-St. Mary’s into town for a girls-boys doubleheader. The Trojans’ girls are trying to find traction this season, getting off to an 0 – 5 start, and only one loss being decided by less than 27 points (a three point heartbreaker to Melcher-Dallas). So far, the Blue Devils are 3 – 0 on the year and this will be their first game within the conference. Over on the boys’ side, the Pleasantville Trojans are playing good basketball at the moment, currently sitting with a 3 – 0 record and a 1 – 0 record in Pride of Iowa Conference play. Trojans’ head coach, Tom Wilkins, said that the Blue Devils feature a big and strong point guard that could give them problems tonight. If you can’t make it to the game, Kris Krug and Ed Bull have you covered, as they’ll be providing play-by-play for the game streamed live at kniakrls.com starting with the pregame at 6:15 p.m. and the girls will tipoff at 6:30.
