Iowans will soon be able to share medical information quickly between hospitals and clinics with the help of the Iowa Health Information Network. Through various government incentive programs health care providers are working to prepare their systems to join the network. Jeff Hall at Pella Regional Health Center says this will help in emergency situations, so doctors can find out, conditions, allergies, and medications quickly. He says it will also help patients to avoid redundant medical tests. The system is being implemented in phases, with the hope of being completely in place by 2015
