The Little and Lady Dutch varsity basketball squads are trying to get things back on track this season, and a venture out to Carlisle may be just what the doctor ordered. The Wildcats’ boys’ and girls’ basketball teams have a combined 1 – 13 record this season (the girls are 0 – 7, boys are 1 – 6), and maybe the biggest challenge that the Pella basketball teams will be facing is the element of surprise, according to Lady Dutch head coach, Jerod Garland.
“They’re not an opponent that we’ve played a lot in past years,” Garland said. “It’s going to be a game where we aren’t going to know a lot about it going into it, but you know that we’re improving and that’s fun so we’re looking forward to getting back on the floor.”
Tonight’s road game at Carlisle will be aired live on 92.1 KRLS with Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema on the call, starting with the Bruxvoort’s Decorating Center pregame show immediately following Focus on the Family at around 6:00 p.m., and the girls will tip-off shortly after. The game will also be streamed live at
