They may have started the season 0 – 9, but the Pleasantville Trojans’ girls’ basketball team has shown vast improvement fundamentally the last few games, and most recently, in their game against Southeast Warren. Trojans’ head coach, Aaron Fichter, said that having played some of the better teams in their conference early in the year, has helped both the younger and more experienced members of the squad deal with the back court pressure and not turn the ball over. Fichter also said that the girls have really been working with footwork as far as travelling violations are concerned, and he hopes that they can string together some victories when the new year rolls around. Pleasantville next plays at Nodaway Valley on January 4.
