The Pleasantville boys’ and girls’ basketball teams are having two completely different seasons at this point in the year. For the girls, it’s a winless start to their 2012-13 campaign, and head coach, Aaron Fichter, is hoping their latest 62 – 12 loss does not dampen spirits on his side of the court. Head coach of the Trojans’ boys’ basketball team, Tom Wilkins, is dealing with the completely opposite situation. With a 4 – 0 record after losing so many seniors from their 20-plus win season a year ago, Wilkins is happy with the performance his starters and several of his bench players have shown on the court, and wants to see the same intensity tonight, as both the boys’ and girls’ teams head to Truro to play I-35. Tonight’s girls-boys doubleheader will be streamed live at and starts at 6:15 p.m. with the Iowa State Savings Bank pregame show, and tipoff is at 6:30. Kris Krug and Ed Bull will be there calling the play-by-play.
