Vermeer Corporation CEO Mary Andringa has been appointed to a statewide council. Andringa will begin serving on the Governor’s STEM Advisory Council in July of next year as co-chair when University of Northern Iowa President Ben Allen steps down from that role. The STEM council works to promote education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Governor Branstad says that Andringa backgrounds in both industry and education uniquely position her to continue to promote the organizations efforts. Her term begins on July 1st of 2013.
