Starting out 4 – 0, the Pella High boys’ basketball team may seem like a group that has played together for a few years, but in actuality, this is the first varsity year of basketball for many of the athletes on the team. Sophomore post player, Isaac Naaktgeboren, said that their opponents have been sizing up the Little Dutch and underestimating the wide variety of talent that his team possesses. Dallas Center-Grimes is next on the schedule for Pella, which will be a real test for head coach Mark Core’s team, as the Mustangs return a lot of players from last year, as well as a lot of height.
