Pleasantville has a very winnable doubleheader in front of them tonight as East Union comes to town. Both Eagles’ teams are 2 – 11 and have been struggling mightily scoring this season, as the girls average 34 points per game and the boys put up 35 each contest. Trojans’ head girls’ basketball coach, Aaron Fichter told KNIA/KRLS Sports that if his girls perform like they have the last two games, they’ll have a great chance of finally notching their first win of the 2012-13 campaign. Fichter also said it would be even more special if they can do it in front of the home crowd. Meanwhile, the Trojans’ boys go for win number ten tonight after beating Wayne on Tuesday that featured big games from Tom Wilkins’ bench players, specifically from Patrick Sheehey, who had 14 points. Tonight’s Pride of Iowa doubleheader will be streamed live on kniakrls.com, as Kris Krug and Ed Bull stay in Pleasantville for a change to call the action. Coverage starts at 6:15, and the girls tip things off at 6:30.
