After getting a couple extra days of rest for the holidays due to the postponement of the Chariton game, the Pleasantville basketball squads are back at it tonight at Pride of Iowa foe, Nodaway Valley. The Trojans’ girls right now are more focused on improving themselves at this point rather than what their opponents have to offer. Nodaway Valley’s girls are 5 – 4, but have played all of their opponents close, particularly, losing by one to the number one ranked Bedford. On the boys’ side, the two teams are very similar on paper. Each team’s top four scorers and starters average 58 points per game, with the only noticeable difference being the discrepancy in turnovers. The Trojans’ boys average around 15 turnovers per game while Nodaway Valley is at around seven. The Pride of Iowa doubleheader this evening will be streamed live at kniakrls.com, as Kris Krug and Ed Bull will make the trek to call the game for you, starting with the pregame show at 6:15 p.m. and the first game starting at around 6:30.
