A special Pella City Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday night has been cancelled. The meeting was regarding water source options for the city and a presentation on those options by Howard R. Green. The city has been looking into water source options after the drought though the summer months strained the city’s shallow well supply. Earlier this year the city began to blend water from the Jordan Aquifer during the drought, which led to a taste change in the water. Public Works Director Denny Buyert told the city council at their last meeting that when Central College students return they may need to use a blend again.
