The Pella High wrestling team is back in action for the first time in 2013 tonight as they will be hosting visiting Norwalk and Ottumwa. It has been a struggle for the Little Dutch squad this year, as they’ve been battling low numbers and have had to forfeit several weight classes in each dual meet, putting them behind by several points right from the get-go. Pella High head wrestling coach, Joe Burch, said that in addition to trying to beat the “numbers game,” his team will have to try and counter Norwalk’s cradling attack. Pella sports a 1 – 6 dual meet record at this point in the year, and are 0 – 1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Tonight’s dual begins at 5:30 p.m. with JV wrestling first.
